    Title:
    Creating Match Rules
    Content:

    Hello All,

We have a specific business requirement as explained below.

We have NIR process enabled for the item classes. We have few EFFs already configured. There are plenty of items already available. During item creation, business wants to check the values of 3 EFF's for eg, Processor Speed, RAM and Size. If the values of the 3 attributes for the item that is supposed to be created afresh matches with the already existing item, the item creation process should stop and prevent a new item from being created. We believe match rules can help us achieve this. Can someone please guide on the process to be followed to achieve this objective?

    Thanks,

    Anand

We have figured this out ourselves. Can be achieved through matching option available for item classes. Can help others having similar requirement.

      Hello Anand,

I have the same issue on my project. Could you explain how you succeeded to create these matching rules ?

      Thanks in advance,

      Michel

You need to specify the matching attributes at item class setup.

The following session on Product Data Quality talks about Matching as well.

Let us know if you still have troubles after going through the same.
