    Title:
Data Import Failed - Error Log Attached
    Content:

    Hi All,

I have created Transaction as Custom Object Which contain 5 fields and it is child of Organization. I have Transaction  records around 6 lakh but when i am trying to import with Import Wizard but import ends abruptly with an error. it's been occurring every time when i import file. In prescan it will show All Good Records, 0 Bad Records.

I have tried to import with different volume like 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000, 20000 but No luck it will import X records and it give error.

According to the document provided by Oracle, 100K records could be imported

    EDIT :

I am new to Connect PHP and ROQL Usage. I am thinking to achieve with CONNECT PHP OR ROQL using Customer Portal Or best way to insert record as I have tried with Import wizard and you can see attached error.

    Object Fields:

    1. ID
    2. Transaction Date ( Datetime )
    3. Transaction Desc ( String )
    4. Organization ( Organization Ref )
    5. Transaction Type ( String )

    Update : Error Log Attached.

Can anyone suggest me best approach to achieve this.

    Thanks In Advance.

    Hi Shreesha,

We faced same issue once because our custom object had "Object Generates Menu" check box selected. You can check this in Object designer>Summary section of the custom object.

      Hi shreesha,

Try to import just 1 record. I think the volumes are too large.
If your import crosses multiple tables you are probably at the limit of import transactions.

If that fails just contact support.

      Hi  Luuk,

can your please explain this ? "If your import crosses multiple tables you are probably at the limit of import transactions.".

i raised SR and it was closed by support team saying out of scope.

    • Luuk

well for example if you import 100 new incidents and all those incidents have a new contact attached to them, you'll import 200 records (1 incident and 1 contact per import).

      Hi Luuk,

Contacts and Organization we have on place in Database. Transaction is Custom Object and It's independent entry in Custom Object, No crosses multiple tables entry.

The scenario is Contact is related to Organization.

Transaction is related to Organization. Each Organization has 1 or more Transaction entry.

      Hi Shreesha,

I don't fully understand, but if the records have no connection at all, and crashes, it should be picked up by support because the data import wizard is a standard product feature which is supported.

      Good Luck.

      Regards,

      Hi Shreesha,

What happens if you import 1 record? Is it successful?

    • shreesha

      Hi  Danette Beal,

Yes, I am able to import 1 record. but when i try to import more volume set it's failing.

That means there could be an association going wrong somewhere.

For eg: You have a CSV file with all data and org ID and you are trying to set Org ID as a parent from the transaction object which never existed. Are you sure that your import file is legit?

Note: I dont think this error is caught in pre-scan as it only checks null condition and data type checks.

      Hi Pramod,

      association is thoroughly checked.
Associated Org ID is already inserted. During Pre-scan All the records are good.
The upload happens without any issue when the records are less than 10, If I increase the volume it will get fail. Hence i strongly believe the data is intact, Once the error occurred i can re-do the upload for the same records without any issue.
