    Title:
Allocations creating out of balance journals
    Summary:
Long existing bug creating out of balance journals - have you experienced this issue and how?
    Content:

We have a formula allocation creating out of balance journals. Entered DR and Entered CR are balancing. Accounted DR and Accounted CR are out of balance.

There is a related ER (it's a bug honestly) that has been around since '14, yet has many updates that other users have experienced the issue:

Bug 20269125 - FORMULA-COMPONENT ALLOCATIONS PRODUCE IMBALANCED JOURNALS

Has anyone here experienced this and what's been its impact? It seems like a cruddy issue, but it's been around for so long.

This issue is due to the rounding of the allocated/generated amounts during the journal import process. One can apply temporary workaround in the formula component to ensure the results are rounded to the currency precision of the generated line currency and handle the difference. This is until we have the ER to allow the rounding for the formula component is implemented.
