    Title:
    Query- PO Change Order approvals - Cannot use attribute 'Requester Job Level' in the condition section of the rule
    Summary:
    Query- PO Change Order approvals - Cannot use attribute 'Requester Job Level'
    Content:

    We have approvals on Requisitions and Purchase Order (Change Orders)

    For Requisitions: We can use the following attribute i.e. Requesters Job Level

    But for Purchase Orders which attribute (Requesters Job Level) is not available to be used in the condition section. I had raised an SR for this but got an answer that this is not available.

    Is this going to be available in 19C?

    ROUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS FOR APPROVAL USING EMPLOYMENT ASSIGNMENT ATTRIBUTES

    Route purchasing documents for approval based on employment assignment attributes such as Job Name, Job Level, Grade, and Department of the document's buyer, requester, preparer, and submitter.

    Can you please confirm?

      To get a quick and correct response, I am moving this to the Purchasing forum.

      Felix,

      The 19C feature you have referenced is precisely the one where this will be supported.

      Regards,

      Suman.

      Thanks Suman!

      This feature is quite crucial for our approval rules for PO Change Orders. Sorry, if I am asking the question again, but wanted to double check  the following:

      In 'Manage Purchase Document approvals'

      Condition Section of the rule

      Type = Approval Task Attribute

      Attribute = Requester Job Level

      The above highlighted attribute will be available in the rules for 'Manage Purchasing Document' approval in the condition section in 19c. Can you please confirm?

      Kind regards,
      Felix

      Confirmed. Included Screenshot from a development test environment with the attribute in question being selected.

      Suman,

      Appreciate your response. Thanks for your help. I can see from your screenshot that the attribute (Requester Job Level) is available at the 'Document Distribution Level'

      Is there a reason why this attribute (Requester Job Level)  is available at the "Document Distribution" and not "Document Line"?

      The reason I am asking is that the "Requester" is displayed on the Document Lines Tab & Distribution tab  on the Purchase Order front end screen, but the attribute is available only at the 'Distribution level' Is there a reason why?

      Kind regards,

      Felix

      Purchase Orders allow consolidation of requisition lines with different requesters into the same Purchase Order line and schedule.

      What you see in the UI is for the case where there's no consolidation or the consolidated req lines have a common requester.
