Update Contracts and Project DFF via Excel
Can we update contract and project attributes using an excel utility (ADFDI or FBDI etc.) ?

    Hi All,

We have recently opened a couple of new DFFattributes on contract, contract line, project and task levels. We need to update the values in those attributes for all the active contracts and projects. What is the simplest way to update those attributes without having any technical development like web services etc.?

    Appreciate your help !!!

From my understanding, these cannot be updated via ADFDI or FBDI.  These can be updated by using the APIs that are available.

I have performed mass updates to the Project DFFs via JMeter,  I have also performed mass updates to add Tasks to Projects via JMeter.

I haven't updated the DFFs on the Contracts or Tasks but it looks like those are available to update.

These can also be configured to be updated via Excel but it is a bit of technical coding and testing.  I have recently completed a couple of Excel mass update files for Projects and Contracts.

Are you familiar with the APIs?

      Regards, Travis

        Hi Amit

could you tell me the steps to update datta using JMeter..?

Thanks, Travis. However, I am not familiar with JMeter. Also, my question was primarily from out of box system capability to update DFF values. We do not have a scope to include any technical development at this stage. Can you please share any related document about the component you have developed? This might be helpful for us in the future. Thanks/Amit
