    Processes in VBCS

    Title:
    Processes in VBCS
    Summary:
    Instances not shown in PCS
    Content:

I have created a web application in VBCS and made a form with input fields, mapped to variables of a process. The submit button starts this previously created process with the goal to send the variables to this process. However, when these instances are created, they are only shown in the 'test' area, not in any tasks or processes. Now I don't know if the process is executed correctly, if these variables are even sent.

Could this have anything to do with the user roles in both VBCS and PCS?

I have found the solution: I kept testing in the test mode instead of clicking LIVE within VBCS

Yeah it's a bit confusing. When you activate in the test partition, you can see the process instances there in the Test window but you can't see the full Tasks view on them or debug them like you can when you have activated the process (made it live). To see them in the workspace, click Try in Workspace from that Test screen. Then you can dig into the history and debug any failed processes, which is important when you're doing REST calls in and out.
