    I've setup an agent to deliver a report via E-mail... I tried everything but report is being delivered with no results\:

    I've setup an agent to deliver a report via E-mail (as an attached excel file)... I tried everything but report is being delivered with no results\:

    BTW when I'm running the report from app it works just fine.

    Any suggestions?

      I am just wondering if you have any conditions specified in the agent that are maybe knocking the results out when the agent is running the report?

        Hi Linda, Thanks 4 ur response.
        There is no use in conditions on that agent...
        I've just setup a schedule for it to run, I chose the analysis that it supposed to send via email and I chose the email recipients.

      Hi Dudi, OK I am certainly no expert, but I have done the same in order to schedule reports to send me an email attachment based on the analyis, unless the condition isn't met; in which case an email just comes telling me no data to report. If you are not setting any conditions, and your attachment comes by email but it contains no data, the only other thing I would look at is 'Run as' setting on the General tab of the agent. It's my understanding that this looks at the security profile of the recipient so if they don't have visibility to see that data then no data will be shown on the delivered report.

      I may be wrong but that would be my next point of investigation. If you are running it as yourself with you as the recipient then clearly that won't be the answer !

      Hi Dudi, 

       

      Are you running a report or a dashboard in this agent?

      Is There any filter that is part of this report?

      When you run the report on the App, Does the filter (or the dashboard promt) has values?

       

      This might be another direction to go to.

      Does your report produce results when you run it on it's own (i.e. not in the agent)?

      Please try creating the agent by locating the report in the catalog and clicking More and then Schedule.  Ensure Run As = Use Agent Owner's Credentials.  On the destinations tab, click Specific Devices and Email.  Don't change anything on any other tab.  Save the agent and click on the run icon.

      Hi All, I am getting an error stating "Agent Completed with warning" when try to run Agent with condition since i choose recipients from Analysis. But i am not getting any Email(Opted for Email Destination). The same works fine when i provide Email directly as recipients without condition. Could anyone please help me. Am i missing something? I have attached the screenshot FYR. Thanks

        What is in the column you have selected as the email destination?  Please provide a screenshot of that agent tab and the OTBI analysis criteria tab.

            Please try the username rather than the email.  If that doesn't work then please raise an SR.  It should work with email address.

                I'm not familiar with Learning, however, you need to look for a similar attribute.  If it doesn't exist, then ask for it to be added, either on a Learning IdeaLab or via a SR.

      Is there a way to trigger a custom Email immediately after an Employee enrolled for a particular Course/Offering in Learning.
