Transaction time in the report and in Payables Application are different

    Hi all,

Developed a report using Payables -transactions real time subject area.In that Invoice Creation time in the report and in the Payables Application are  different. Please find the screen shot attached?

What you are seeing I imagine is correct. First, the creation date and action date for approval will not be at the same time. The invoice must be created and saved before it can be initiated for approval. So you will see a time gap. Second, the two screenshots may be pulling with different timezone definitions. I would check that as I would assume the bottom picture is using UTC or some other timezone setting causing the big gap.

      Hi Dev,

In the backend, dates are saved in UTC timezone.hence while developing the report you may need to use timezone conversion functions.

        Thank you,

How to change timezone, either we need to raise an SR for this?

We need to display same time in all locations.

        Please advise.

        Thank you

        Dev Thota.

      Hi Dev,

Can you please let me know whether you are working on custom BIP report?

If yes, you can use  below in your SQL statement

      TO_CHAR (
                                                           (FROM_TZ (
                                                               TO_TIMESTAMP (
                                                                  TO_CHAR (
                                                                     - (1 / 24),
                                                                     'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'),
                                                                  'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS'),
                                                               AT TIME ZONE 'America/New_York'),
                                                           'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS')
