    Title:
Override Account functionality in Payables Invoices
    Content:

I just found the button titled "Override Account" when you click in the accounting for an already accounted for invoice. You are then given the options to set a New Account and provide a Reason. Has anyone used this? Does it force the invoice through workflow again? Does it get posted next time accounting is posted? Are there any issues people have found using this?

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

      Hi Jason,

We have used it and it is very handy.
Approval workflow is not involved here.

Issue we faced is that you cannot provide the accounting date. But actually it is working quite well and your correction will be entered on the same or next open GL Accounting Period. Your AP period can be closed, but if GL period is open, then it will flow there.

=> this allows you to close your AP early during your period end process and still you can correct some accountings via this override functionality on the same period as long as your GL is open. But you will not be able to affect this acc. date manually. I think there is an ER related to this raised to be able to provide an accounting date.

Thank you Alexey! That is some great feedback and we are going to test this out. We have been doing manual JE's so this will be a huge improvement for us.

Hi- for those using this functionality do you experience any performance issues when waiting for the Override Account pop up to come up? My users encounter wait times with the blue spinner of 5 - 45 mins, and an occasional one that opens in a few seconds. We've tried using both IE and Chrome and clearing browser cache. I'm opening an SR but wanted to check out here too. Thanks!
