    Title:
Is it Possible to Copy an Existing Invoice in Order to Create a New Invoice
    Summary:
I was looking to see if there was a way to copy an exiting invoice in order to create a new invoice that is very similar.
    Content:

I wasn't sure if this was possible but there is a case where we have an invoice with multiple distributions. We have a need to create another invoice very similar to this invoice and I'd like to copy the exiting invoice (invoice number would be changed, invoice dates would be changed, description would be changed but all other info would basically be the same).

I know there is a recurring invoice option which might help in the future but right now this is a one time type of transaction.

    Thank you,

    Brian

      Hi Brian,

AR invoices offer a copy function, but not AP unfortunately.  Have you looked into the FBDI or ADFdi spreadsheet templates for AP invoice upload, though?  Both of those are ways of speeding up entry, potentially fed by a custom report that takes the source invoice number as an input parameter.  The extract->FBDI->upload process could be manual, or it could even be fully automated via web service calls (if you have the mapping logic defined and some form of integration tool available).

      Does that help any?

      Regards,

      Glen

We also expect the duplicate functionality similar to AR invoice. This will help user faster data entry for urgent payments.

you can better raise this in to idea lab.
