    Title:
What is the Data Model that runs the 'General Ledger and Subledger Account Analysis' Report?
    Content:

    Hi All,

There is a report run via a scheduled process called 'General Ledger and Subledger Account Analysis'. The report is extremely useful and we would like to re-use the code to create an altered version of the report, however, we cannot seem to find the underlying data model. Does anyone know where it is/what it could be named?

    Thanks

    Aaron

    Hi Aaron,

You can find report path from the Ess Job Log. There is a line like this:
    ReportID : /Financials/Fusion Accounting Hub/GlobalSLAAcctAnalysis.xdo

Then you can identify BIP report name: whic is in this case is: /Financials/Fusion Accounting Hub/Global Account Analysis Report

Then by opening this report you can find the datamodel: /shared/Financials/Fusion Accounting Hub/Data Models/Account Analysis Data Model

    With respect
    Alexey

        Alexey,

Is there a way know all the reports that a data model is used for? I have a data model and would like to know what all reports are using it.

        Thanks, Bala.

hmmm... :) it is a good question can try to scan on this...

But sometime ago I did (started to do) some kind of of manual analysis of these gl reports...comparing and checking them and found out that these reports at least using the same data model:

Account Analysis by Legal Entity Report
          Account Analysis Report

Here is some kind of summary of my analysis... which at some point I stopped... due to lack of time...
Also there is a listing for Financial Reports (attached for r11) but it is missing datamodels... otherwise could be used... and in general very cool listing as there are some output samples...

          Hi Aaron,

Just wanted to know if you were able to re-use the code and create a new version of the report?

I am also trying to something similar, to add some details specific to taxes,  but the "Account Analysis Data Model" seems to have dynamic where clauses and bind parameters and I am not sure how to know the query behing the datamodel and to add any custom queries. Attached a screenshot for your reference, do you have some advise here?

          Thanks,

          Bharath

            Hi Bharath,

Have you been able to figure this out either? I'm running into the same challenge and haven't had any success on it yet.

            Thanks,

            Scott

              Hi Scott,

Not really. However, I am able to get the query behind the data set Q_TAX with the help of oracle support. This helped in answering some questions we had related to the Tax details displayed in the General Ledger and Subledger Account analysis report and not tried to customise the report as we found our requirement was not feasible.

I am attaching the query here, just incase if it may be helpful.

              Q_TAX.sql (4KB)

Can you create a new data set and link it to the TAX data set to get what you are trying to achieve?
