Duplicate contacts when using Data Import Guide
Contacts are registrered as duplicated even though e-mail exists in different interface

We have one Service Cloud client, but three interfaces, in that one client. We operate three different brands, which is the reason to this setup.

We use the Data Import Guide to import contacts for general informational e-mails for certain groups of customers. Like if there is a generel billing issue, we like to warn customers. We use the outreach functionality for the e-mail and the Data Import Guide to import the list of contacts.

But, some e-mail addresses might be present in more than one interface/brand, since customers switch supplier. When importing a list with e-mail addresses, all e-mailadresses present in more than one brand, will be listed as duplicate.

Contacts belong to a specific interface/brand so I guess I need some way to add this an interface value as a condition or something, but I'm running out of ideas.

I tried adding a column in the data import guide, but that didn't do it. I also tried using the duplicate criteria but I can't figure out how to use that section.

Am I really the only one with multiple brands in one interface, using the Data Import Guide?

its llikey going to be easier for you to build a de-dupe process outside of RNT prior to loading.

Sorry for my probably stupid question, but could you elaborate a bit?

A customer could be created as a contact in multiple brands, and therefore, they would be labelled in error, when uploading the list of e-mail addresses. So I'm not sure how a process outside og Service Cloud could help me solve that.
