    Title:
Set task notes field using Connect PHP API
    Content:

    Hi experts,

I need your help. I want to set the Notes standard field that is displayed on the Task workspace using Connect PHP API but I cant find it. I was looking for it in the Connect PHP documentation, but I wasn't abble to find it's reference. I know this object have a relationship with Notes object, but i want to know if it's possible to set this field programmatically.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi Jhamir, access to that field was removed from the Connect PHP API in the May 2015 release when version 1.3 of the API was first released.

In Connect PHP API version 1.2 and older, Task.Comment was the field name (i.e., $theTask->Comment in PHP code).

If you refer back to the Connect PHP API Release Notes from May 2015 (see here), in the “Removed Features” section at the bottom, you’ll see Task.Comment listed as an object field that was removed.  Task.Comment is where the Notes field you highlighted was mapped to.

In summary, Task.Comment is not available for code-level customizations using the newer Connect PHP API 1.3 and 1.4 (or higher) API libraries.  However, if necessary, you can switch to version 1.2 of the Connect PHP API in your code and access the field (just be aware of using the older API library).

The single Notes/Comment text field was replaced by the newer Notes tab where you can add multiple conversational-style notes to a Task - this is the preferred method to use if you can!

Hi Robert, Thank you so much! changing the version worked for me. Additionally, I'll follow your recommendation and we will start using the Notes tab.
