    Custom chat queue as default chat queue

    Hi All,

    Can I use custom chat queue in place of default chat queue without using any rule.

    I used rule to route the chat request to custom chat queue but is there any way by which we can route it to custom chat queue.

    Whether Oracle recommends use of  default chat queue?

    Not sure why you would need to change the default.     

    Chats have to go into a queue that is why there is a default queue.  If you only need one queue you can change the name of the default chat queue and you don't have to do anything else.   

    There is not a way to make a custom queue the default, you would have to add a rule to route the chats to that queue.  But that is a simple rule at the end of your chat rules to route everything to the queue.

      Hi,

      I have a similar business requirement. I need to set the default chat queue as any of our available custom chat queue. For this i have created one chat rule in the last. My rule has only then condition for assigning the chat to queue. As I want if any available chat rule condition are failed then chat should be go to the particular custom queue which is mentioned in my last chat rule. But I have observed that after creation this all the chat is going to my default custom chat queue. So, I have disabled my newly created default chat queue rule. I have attached the chat rule screenshot.

      Can you please suggest any solution for this?
