    Title:
    Make Period Profile implementation friendly
    Summary:
Oracle's plan / roadmap for this
    Content:

Currently, The period profile feature used in Project control is as archaic as it can get. As can be seen from the screenshot, it doesnot provide any details of which period, year, duration etc. Just some numbers...

Can this be made to provide some useful information : may be LOVs to show/choose duration (Year/Month/Week) etc..

It is very hard to understand at looking at the period profile as it is now.

The period profile definition is designed to reflect the flexibility customers have with period definition: For example, although many customers use calendar month, others use a 4-4-5 (or 5-4-4, depending on where their accounting year starts), and some use weekly periods. Since this means that we cannot assume a standard definition we also cannot assume standard summarization. Additionally, for longer-term projects customers may want to use a mix of periods across the life cycle of the project. More information can be found on this in the Applications Help by searching for “using period profiles”.

The Ideas Lab for Project Portfolio Management is also now open so is an avenue you can try for suggestions and ideas.
