    Title:
Simple way to update Valid Intersections
    Summary:
I have lots of valid intersection rules in my application and I need a simple way to update them using a file or excel template
    Content:

Since I have lots of valid intersection rules in the application, the valid intersection page is very slow (While opening the VI page) and it takes a lot of time to respond whenever I make any changes to the VI rules or add new rules. It also takes a lot of time in saving as well.

Is there any simple way to make changes to the VI rules like through excel or through any template?

    Any help is greatly appreciated

    Thanks in advance,

    Jash

      Hey Jash,

Honestly the file format of the valid intersections in XML isn't too bad - you could certainly either manually bulk update xml files if it was an adhoc change or alternatively script up a process to build an XML from scratch using your language of choice (powershell\groovy\java et al have pretty good XML support).

You can have a look at them by exporting them in the migration tab - downloading, unzipping the files and having a look at the XML directly.

      Cheers

      Pete

Just something to be aware of if your valid intersections are using substitution variables you may encounter errors when trying to load. This is something we have found when trying to do migrations between environments. There are 2 unpublished bugs on this with Oracle ( unpublished bug.29792715 , unpublished bug.28373373)
