    Time and Labor with PPM
    Content:

It is our understanding that Time and Labor does NOT function with POETA. The functional lead does not intend to use Time and Labor in PPM, however will there be an issue with the Time and Labor in HCM when POETA is used?

      Kim,

Time and Labor currently supports capture of Project, Task, Expenditure Type (and the O for Organization is derived based on the persons department assignment).  Therefore if the project is funded by a single Award/Funding Source, then no issues.  However, Time and Labor currently does not support explicit capture of the Award and Funding Source.  If the project is funded by multiple Awards/Funding Sources, then the Time and Labor flow is not supported.

        Dustin,

So what happens when we have 1 award with 2 projects, one project is sponsor funded and the 2 project is internal (cost share)...Currently our IT people have written a script that say is a project ID includes CS (our indication it's a cost share project) to put in internal for fund source. Are there any other clients that have addressed this or asked about it?

      Kim,

In your case, since there is a single Award and Funding Source that is funded by each project, there wouldn't be an issue.  When the transactions are imported from Time and Labor into projects the Award and Funding Source are identified and added to the transactions.  This is known requirement and on the roadmap with Time and Labor / HCM.
