Hello All - We have an issue with downloading OTBI reports to Excel. it doesn't download all rows and truncates after reaching a limit. However, CSV works fine. To avoid this, we did like to disable/hide 'Excel 2007' option under Exports so that users use only CSV. Is it possible to do this for OTBI reports?

See MOS, "How To Disable Or Remove The Export / Download - Data - CSV Format Option in OBIEE 10g And 11g (Doc ID 1270579.1)" - which is an article technically related to your question. However I'm not sure if this is enabled for cloud, or if you are on cloud, so you may need to log an SR to find out.

Thanks Gail. It lists the steps which requires technical expertise and now sure if SaAS customers can do that. I will raise an SR and see if we can achieve by other means for SaaS customers.

Hi Naveen,
As far as I know we don't have the flexibility to control the options in the export hyperlink. We can hide/unhide that option but we cannot control the o/p types.
Please raise an SR and update here with your findings.
Thanks,
Sricharan

Thanks Sri. I did raise an SR. The option that Gail mentioned is technical and requires editing application system file.Do you know how to hide 'Excel 2007+' option under Export for SaaS customers?

Hi Naveen,
We do not have control on those options for SaaS customers. We will have to wait for response on SR.
Keep us posted on the updates.
Thanks,
Sricharan

Thanks for posting this, it would be great to have the flexibility to limit export options that do not function.
