I have been trying to wrap my head around the deprecation of the legacy manage configuration screen.
It seems to me that we have always configured the mobility screen in the application configuration and the web screen in the legacy manage. Now I am trying to reconcile the settings for all of my users. Some section configurations are copied when updated in either (*), but how do I confirm that all my edits in manage are configured in the application screen? How do I know what I am losing until Oracle makes the change to my test environment? Has anyone else had these thoughts? I still do not understand how the entire manage screen can be deprecated. It seems that there are default screens configured in manage that are not available in application. Has anyone exported manage configuration and imported into application?

Hi,
I suggest that you now start using the Dispatch Console like you use the Legacy Manage with some motivated dispatchers, and ask them for comments about the Dispatch Console. This way, you will get comments like: "I noticed we had this thing in the old UI, but not in new" and you still have a lot of time to configure the Core App to have everything you used to have in Legacy Manage.
I'm not sure if it could be possible to copy everything from Legacy Manage to Core App, but in my opinion, it's great to have fresh start and maybe even configure some things better than they used to be in Legacy Manage.
I didn't exactly answer to your question, but this is how we are doing the transition to Core App from Legacy Manage. I hope it helps! :)

Antero

Hi Austin,
My proposal is to make hard changes (I mean deprecate Legacy) on Train environment, and test functionality there, if some nasty things happen then you will get a brand new environment on the next day. I will be sure about Core Application (near) equal to Legacy when I will read it from Oracle. Until that this is only a preparation to the switching.
Regards,
Zsolt

I cannot find where some features from legacy manage are available in the core application.
Like User Administration. I cannot find another path in application.
When I removed the "legacy manage" access, I can no longer administer user deactivations and activations.

FYI
Mike Wierzbowski, 2019-03-13
"We will not remove Legacy Core Manage, as you know to today. without like-for-like replacement, which may not be exact, in the new unified Core Application. With each release/update we keep adding new functionality in the Core Application to legacy what is available in Core Manage. For example: The Dispatch Console replaces the Time/List/Map view and we still have additional enhancements planned in the upcoming releases."

You don't have to remove the access to Legacy Manage, just play with the URLs. In our case, it goes to Core App by adding "/m" to the end of URL (m stands for Mobility) so you can use both Legacy and Core App at the same time and configure them to match each other.

You might want to configure the "Edit User/Resource" UI to match your Legacy Manage resource management to include all the fields you need. I also added picture about deactivating and activating users, please check those out.
Currently in our business, there's nothing we couldn't do in Core App so I'm quite happy with it

Sometimes we have managers that take over a technician route (temporarily). So we have been assigning the manager user to a technician resource, then reassigning the resource back to the technician user when they return. It seems that this is no possible in the Core application. I have needed to login to the Legacy manage screen in order to "assign resource" to an existing user.
Any suggestions?
