    Title:
Pass Through Authentication for New vs. Old Customer Portal
    Content:
We are trying to upgrade to RNT Feb 09 release and were planning to also update CP to the new version. We are using the passthrough authentication and were alerted that we need to make a code change to accomodate the new versions. My question is that if we decide NOT to upgrade the CP but just upgrade RNT to Feb 2009, does our old pass through authentication code work? In other words, is the code change to the pass through authentication global to the RNT 09 upgrade or ONLY used if we upgrade to the new CP portal

You will only need to make changes to PTA if you upgrade to CP. I'm pretty sure that the old end user pages still work exactly how they used to in the Feb 09 release.

Erine, thank you for the reply. You say your "pretty sureErine, thank you for the reply. You say your "pretty sure" but this would crush us if you were wrong. " but this would crush us if you were wrong. We can only test this by putting RNT Feb 09 to production. If the old passthrough doesn't work, we're totally screwed. Can you 100% confirm this please?

PTA for classic pages has not changed.  When you switch to CP you will need to reformat the url you are using for pta to the new enduser url and parameters.  The encoded string stays the same.

If you are concerned you should test your pta integration on your upgrade test site.
