    Title:
    19D Configurable template Caching
    Content:

    Hi team

We are facing issues with configurable workflow notification templates after upgrade to 19D , Any changes done in the BI template do not reflect instantly . There is a lag typically of 24 hours for the changes to be reflected , Not sure if some job is running in the background

We tried even clearing the Cache from XMLPServer , but does not work for us

This is happening consistently across Requisition , Change Order  and even configured templates from Financials .

Has anyone else faced this issue . We do have a reference SR3-21528697831 open for this

    Thanks

    Rohan

So I got the information from the relevant team on this. See below:

    ====================================================================================================================================

Yes. This is known change in behavior in 19D.

During the implementation phase, if this behavior needs to be switched off, then set profile option BIP_CLIENT_ENABLE to false.

But they should not be leaving this enabled in production mode since this was an implementation done for performance reasons.

    Thanks

We are reviewing this internally. I have not heard this prior to this post. I will revert when we have analyzed the details.

You are the best Ashok !! . Thanks a lot , This worked

Not sure , if this behavioural change was added in the release notes as I forsee most implementations raising SR's for this .

This is exactly what I asked the team. I await their response. I was hoping to get that answer too yesterday but I imagine they are discussing it. If I hear anything, I will revert.

      Hello

We have the very same issue however when searching for Profile Option BIP_CLIENT_ENABLE No results are found is there a particular way to search for it?

      Any assistance much appreciated.

      Kind Regards

      Merri

      Hi Merri

If I am not wrong, this is a profile option you will have to create. Support should be able to guide you through this. Perhaps Rohan can help too having used it.

      Hi Ashok

Thanks for the info I have updated the SR and have instructions on how to create a profile option, which is known, however I do not know what Application or Module the profile needs to be set up with as these are required fields - if anyone can help that would be great.

      Many Thanks

      Merri

        Hi Merri

Please see attached the reference screenshot for the Application and Module . Even though , it says Self Service procurement , it is applied to all the workflow notifications

        Thanks
