    Title:
    Required select-one with placeholder
    Summary:
    Required select-one with placeholder
    Content:

    Hi,

On mobile app, I have required select-one component with placeholder defined.

When opening the page the component is showing the first value from the list (ADP) and not the placeholder.

How to force it to show the placeholder or just empty value? the users does not want to see value from the list before selecting.

Try setting the value property of the component.

If it is tied to a variable, set the value of the variable in the vbEnter event (or set it to a default value).

        Thanks

It works, when adding default value to the variable the select-one shows the placeholder, the default value is not shown.

The issue is that validation is no because there is a default value and fields are required

Not sure I understand your last remark.

You wanted a default value to be in the list - which means a default value for the field. So the assumption is that this is the value you want in there if the user doesn't select another value.

Are you expecting a different behavior? Which?
