    Content:

    Hi,

we need to know if ti's possible to have an HFM application as data source in Narrative reporting?

If possible, which version? 11.1.2.4 or it's possible with 11.1.1.3?

    Regards.

For the ESEF format, you would use Disclosure Management within Narrative reporting, and use Smart View + Excel to format your financial statements to include.

HFM is currently not a supported data source in the Management Reporting tool. I’ll leave it to the Product Mgmt team to communicate whether or not this capability will be possible in the future.

In the Narrative Reporting tool (of the umbrella suite also called “Narrative Reporting”), it is supported. Basically, if you can get it into Excel (via whatever version of Smart View, although the recent version is recommended), you can get it into Narrative Reporting. You just need to download and install the Narrative Reporting Smart View extension.

      Hi Daniela,

While you cannot connect Management Reporting to on-prem data sources, in a Narrative Reporting report package, you can use any Excel-based content (including Smart View against HFM) to insert grids and charts into report package doclets, or as a doclet in a PDF report package.

The purpose it's to generate reports in European Single Electronic Format (ESEF) with HFM data.

So, we can do it based on smartview with HFM data? that's it?

On premise could be Disclosure Management and HFM as Datasource?

and in cloud as to be Disclosure and Narrative, and use Smart View + Excel, that's it?

To clarify, on-prem Disclosure Management reached its end of life with the 11.1.2.4 release, there is no further Development being done on it.

In Narrative Reporting/Disclosure Management, Smart View would need to be used to connect to HFM.  Disclosure Management has never has direct connectivity to any data sources, it has always used Excel or Word based content via either Smart View or other ad-ins to 3rd party sources
