    Does Cloud SCM support Consignment? 

    i.e. we send our items to our "agent" location/store and we only recognize the sales when they successfully sell it, then we collect the money, not when we send it to the "agent" store

    "agent" is something like Wal Mart

      Just for clarifications: it's our items and we send it to our agent (Wal Mart for example) 

      not we consign from our suppliers (i know that this one is there already)

      Yasmin,

      It is hard to give a full picture with the limited view above. Since you are posting on Order Management Cloud forum, I will answer with the flexibility and arch/design solutions you have in this product.

      You can create an orch process "SellProductRecognizeRevenue", with an additional step 'between' ship step & invoice step. This additional step e.g. "getSellConfirmation" would use the GenericTaskLayer, send a message to "agent" with OrderId,LineId etc, and wait for confirmation "itemSold" (a response back from agent). After the item is shipped to agent (e.g. on Feb 5 2018) sold by the agent (e.g. on Mar 25 2018), you would continue to billing/invoicing step.

      These are all out of the box functionality, you just have to interface the Ship step & GetSellConfirmation "extenal interface" to send & receive message to/from external agent systems. Hope this helps.

        Hi Sanjeev,

        We have a similar requirement for consignment sales as Yasmin. I got interested with your the solution presented and have questions:

        1. Can we receive partial sell confirmation from customer and bill based on the confirmed quantity? Then, another sell confirmation will be received for the remaining item. Let's say. We sold and ship 100 units of Item A to the Customer on consignment. The customer confirmed that 45 out of the 100 consigned quantity were sold. Can we receive confirmation for the 45 and later on the 55? Likewise, partially bill the sales order based on 40 sold quantity and then receive another separate confirmation for 30 and have a bill for the quantity, can this be handled?

        2. Returns of unsold consigned quantity. What would the process be then if from illustration in #1, 75 out of 100 were sold and confirmed, Then, the 25 units will be returned already by the customer.
