    Title:
Is Oracle Autonomous Chatbot the same thing as VA?
    Content:

I saw this event coming up which doesn't mention VA however it sounds almost like VA has been renamed:

Or is this a new product altogether? If anyone has any idea could you please let me know. I've searched all over the place and found some awesome info on VA, but wondering whether this Autonomous Chatbot is something else entirely.

    Version:
    18C

    Hi Anthony!

Virtual Assistant is a feature of the OSvC Chat solution, and is different from the Autonomous Chatbot. The Autonomous Chatbot is a separate product from the Virtual Assistant feature.

If you're interested in learning more about Virtual Assistant, please let me know!

    Hope that helps,

This is a bit strange within the Oracle Service Cloud landscape.

Virtual Assistant is an add-on for Oracle Service Cloud BUT Chatbot is another add on. Although it's a bit different integrated, I think Chatbot is a better platform since I've seen an integration with the Oracle Service Cloud knowledge base whereas VA has no connection other than the pass through to a real life chat agent.

Chatbot can also transfer the customer to a chat agent. Therefor Chatbot seems like a far better solution.

I still find it strange that Oracle has two kinds of chatbots....frown
