    TRCS Email

    Trying to understand how to configure TRCS email

    We are brand new to Tax Reporting and set up the TRCS Sample app in a test pod. As soon as we did that, the user with the Power User role started getting a daily email. We're guessing this is from TRCS, even though the email never explicitly states that.

    I'm having trouble with a few aspects of this:

    1. No where does the email indicate that it's coming from TRCS. The email subject is 'FYI: Late Form Reminder for P12 2016 Actual'. The only clue that this is from TRCS are the form names 'Uncertain Tax Positions' and 'Financial Tax Register'. How do we get the subject to indicate this is from TRCS?

    2. The email is from no-reply@oracle.com. This will be confusing for users. I dug around and found that it looks like I can change the From Address if I navigate to Application > Task Manager > System Settings > Email Notifications. I did that but the emails still come from no-reply@oracle.com.

    3. The user's preferences do not have any notifications checked so I'd also like to know what's generating this email.

    I've searched through TRCS documentation and cannot find any information on this. Can anyone share any information?

    Hi Jerry,

    These emails are coming from Supplemental Data Manager. Those are the sample SDM forms and can be undeployed from the Form Templates page in Supplemental Data Manager.

      Hi Jerry,

      Email notifications are received once you have assigned user with any task and the due date for that task is due.

      However, it is possible to deactivate the email notifications and reminders.

      From this path - for close manager tasks you can turn off the email notifications or change the email address too

      Home -> Application -> Email notifications

      Further changes can be done to user preference

      Home screen -> Tools -> user preference - > Notification

      from there notification settings can be edited and provide custom email to make the identification easy that the email is from TRCS.

        The path Home > Application > Email Notifications does not exist. I'm attaching a screen shot.

        The Email Address field is blank at Home > Tools > User Preferences > Notification. And no notifications are selected. I don't see any way to customize anything other than the email start and end times and the notification period.

        Is there documentation on this somewhere?

      Please follow the following

      Home - > Tools - > User preferences - notifications - > uncheck the boxes and in the list below for options 'Notify me' select 'Never'. Screen shot attached.

        None of the boxes are checked.

        I don't want to change the Notify Me options to Never until I know what these emails are. I don't necessarily want to stop the email. I want it to be clearer that it's coming from TRCS.

      If this is for SDM, please go under -> Application Cluster -> Supplemental Data Card -> System Settings.

        Similarly for Close Manager, it's under Applications -> Task manager -> Manage System Settings -> Email Notifications
