Getting Error Message When Assigning A Table-Validated Valueset To A KFF
    Summary:
When we tried to assign a table-validated value set to KFF, we're getting error
    Content:

    Hello,

We defined a table-validated value set in TEST environment. When we tried to assign a table-validated value set to KFF, we're getting error as follow:

    ERROR
    -----------------------
"The value set ACM_Employee cannot be assigned to this segment ACM_Future2. (FND-2654)
In application 101, key flexfield GL#, and structure ACM_COA_Structure, default value set ACM_Employee cannot be assigned to segment ACM_Future2 which uses column SEGMENT5. The assigned value set must have a data type that is compatible with the column data type and its maximum length must be no longer than the column length."

      Hi Leyla,
Oracle confirmed in the documentation that only independent value sets are supported in the Key Flexfield: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/financials/19c/faigl/financial-structures.html#FAIGL697234

      Thanks

Leyla - What Julien mentioned is correct but you can try with below changes

      1. Looks like the table validated Value set is having value data type as Character. This should be Number

      2. Also check the lengths of data. I see you have used substr but still all of them are 30 character length.

      3. I am not very technical but check if you can person number into number. Right now it is showing character and not number. If  you change value data type to number in point 1 you need to change for person number as well.

        Hello Ravi,

        1. But the values are character like ACM000125, not number.

        2. We've changed the lengths of data as 6, but we're getting same error still.

        Thanks

Leyla - Instead of Table validated Value set Create Independent value set and try. That should work.

But additionally - Either manually or automate a process sync Employees into this Independent value set.

       - For Automation, there would be some coding required based on the Integration tool you are using

      - Manual process [file based] is also easy though. Create a report either OTBI or BIP. Ask user to run this Daily/Weekly and create a file with the output and upload as Value set Values.
