URGENT - Reference Required : RightNow Service Integration with retail POS
Integration reference required for deal closure - compliance requirement

    Hi team,

I urgently need a reference of RightNow integration with retail POS. Our closure is dependent on this.

Customer is a large retailer and uses Microsoft Dynamics for POS.

Customer is concerned how customer support agent will be able to check customer purchase/ return history.

While I do not see any issues I do not have a refference. If time is of the essence I would contact your Oracle Client Success Manager. He/she will be able to help you with that.

Oracle Service Cloud has 3 main public APIs available for integrating with external systems:
      - ConnectPHP - PHP based
      - REST API - JSON based
      - Connect Web Services for SOAP API (CWSS) - XML based

There is also functionality like external events (a.k.a. custom processes - CPMs) where you can set up PHP scripts to run when records in OSvC are created/updated/destroyed and this can perform Curl calls to external APIs.

I am not familiar with MS Dynamics POS, but you may want to find out what APIs are available on this product and see what would be the best candidate for an integration solution. Also, it would help if you could provide more context for your requirement (e.g. you want a record created in MS POS when a record is created in OSvC, or the other way around etc).

I also do not have a reference, but if the above mentioned POS has a web based gui that you can pass a parameter (like some customer ID number in the POS that is also stored in OSvC) to via a url, you can use a browser control (and if needed php scripting) to open the view into the order history within a workspace. You wouldn't even need an API in this case, as it is a view and not a data transfer.
