    Heard that Oracle is planning is to restrict the access to Oracle Fusion cloud tables via BI Publisher data models? If that is true we will not be able to perform direct query on the SaaS Tables. Already OTBI Direct query access has been revoked.

    Has anyone got this news?  If this is true, what options we will have to perform any query on the Transactional tables for data validations and how can we create a custom reports and what will happen to existing custom BI Publisher reports that are built on custom data models?

      Thats a news to me. Don’t see it going away because of dependencies

      As per the communications sent to service administrators , it won't impact BI Publisher.

        This is an update for OTBI Direct database query.

        But I am referring to the plan for disabling the BI Publisher Data Model access to Fusion cloud tables. My questions are,

        1. Will Oracle make the standard data models as ready only, so users can create BIP reports based on the standard data model.
        2. What will happen to the Customized data model, modified version of standard data models like "Transactions Print Data Model"
        3. What will happen to the data model that is completely a custom build.

      Hi All,

      As per my knowledge , it will not have any impact on BI Publisher reports.

      Its only related to Direct sql query for OTBI reports.
