    Hi,

Could you please help me with this question. Thanks in Advance!

While configuring the security policy of a connector API, do we need to take client's authentication type into account?

    Thx

      Hi,

The answer is no, we don't, assuming by client you meant an application or service that is invoking MCS. The client's authentication type should be handled in the Mobile Backend. An external client typically will invoke the mobile backend in MCS.

If you are invoking an external service provider from MCS, then its authentication type will need to be factored into the Connector API.

      Arrun,

Thanks a lot! Now I understand that client's  (Mobile app) authentication type that is defined Mobile Backend is totally separate from the security policies in connector APIs.They are independent of each other.

      Thanks again for the help!
