    Title:
Sales person has visibility of all Accounts and Opportunities
    Summary:
Would like this restricted to when they are teh owner, or are on the team.
    Content:

The sales person, who has Sales Representative & Resource roles, sees all Accounts and Opportunities, even when they are not the owner, are not on the team, are not anyone's manager. Any ideas why this is, please?

    Martin,

I guess your key requirement here is not to allow users access to Accounts and Contact that aren't within their territory. Sales Cloud will provide everyone READ ONLY access to Accounts and Contacts by Default. If you own, on a team or own a Territory that the Customer is within then you will get EDIT access. Additionally if you have staff that fall into this category then you will also get this access.

Send me an email if you have any questions might have some information that you might find helpful.

      Martin,

Suggest you read through the following document:
Customer Object: Restrict “All Customer” Access for Sales Reps & Sales Managers (Configuration) (Doc ID 1620475.1)

      Here is a summary

The standard security settings in Oracle Sales Cloud allow users with the Sales Representative or Sales Manager Job Role to view all Customers in your organization. Some organizations require that this access be limited so that sales reps and sales managers can view only those Customers where they are:

Members on the sales account team
Owner or team member of the territory associated with that sales account
Manager (higher in either the resource/territory hierarchy) of those owners/team members
This document shows the configuration settings to attain that behavior.

      The Document applies to R7.

      Thanks
      Jono

      Martin,

Please refer to Oracle Sales Cloud Security resource center (https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/DocumentDisplay?_afrLoop=1083945859828920&id=1609084.1&_afrWindowMode=0&_adf.ctrl-state=xno9r8j8d_49) for role customization and adding additional security predicates.

      Thanks

      Hey Martin,

You need to tweak the functional and data security policies under Sales rep duty role. Don't make any changes to the seeded duty role , just create a custom duty role for sales rep and then change the policies as per your need. Hope this will help.

      Thanks,

       Gautam

Use this duty role with ur custom duty role OPPORTUNITY SALES ACCOUNT SALES REPRESENTATIVE DUTY. This will allow the sales rep to view only those accounts, which are part of their sales team.

      Thanks,

       Gautam

I will look into this process to change the security settings. I am a bit confused, though, by what seem to be different expected behaviors.

On the one hand, the Customer Object: Restrict “All Customer” Access for Sales Reps & Sales Managers (Configuration) (Doc ID 1620475.1) document does start with the following statement: 'The standard security settings in Oracle Sales Cloud allow users with the Sales Representative or Sales Manager Job Role to view all Customers in your organization.'.

On the other hand, page 3 of chapter 33 of the document 'Oracle Sales Cloud Implementing Sales - Release 8' states the following: 'Salespeople have access to customers, leads, and opportunities that fall within their territories.'
