    Title:
Alerts - Only include the last incident that meets the exception criteria
    Content:

    Hi,

I have created a report that sends an Alert every time a chat goes abandoned. I based it on an exception with the following parameters:

    Expression: chats.first_engaged

    Operator: Is Null

The Schedule is set to run the report every 15 mins and the report looks back 1 hour.

Is there a way to have the Alert only send the report with the last abandoned chat every time the exception is met, so that it does not include all the abandoned chats within the last hour?

    Many thanks

    Pavol

    Hi Suresh,

to be honest I am not sure and it is a bit lengthy to test...

What I am thinking to do is to set the schedule to run every 15 mins and the schedule report filter to only look at the last 15 mins, while in the report itself I have ticked to ignore duplicate values under the customer's email address table.

I was not sure how the schedule v alerts work but as I was explained, the report does not run when the alert is triggered (which would be me having the same abandons reported duplicately) - it still runs every 15 mins (based on the scheduling).

I will now be testing it for a few days and if it works the way I anticipated I can add the report definition here for others to use :)

Still many thanks for your input, it always is very useful (even in cases like this where I do not really go with your suggestion, but at least it made me think more on my own :) )

Will it work out if you can include last() function in your output columns or max() ?

OR: You can set the Record Limit to 1 Row per page!

Scheduled Reports send 1st page only.

Record Limit is under Level tab.

EDIT: Actually, if you uncheck "Per Page" you get one record only. This is so cool! I never tried this option :P
