    Title:
When transferring chat - see "Specified Cast is not valid"
    Content:

Has anyone seen this message in Chat?

    Specified Cast is not valid

It is happening when a few of our agents - happening randomly - attempt to transfer a chat to a queue.

    Thank you for your help!

Hi Corine - I'd suggest opening an SR with our Technical Support team; make sure to include exact steps to reproduce and any agent-specific data you can (un-cropped screenshot, agent name, profile, time of day, etc). Thanks! -Jessica

      Jessica -

Thanks for your reply - I have opened an SR.  It has been sent to development.  I just wondered if anyone else had ever seen it before.  smiley

I am getting the same error when trying to run a custom report.... would love to find out what in the report is causing it.

      See this message from 2009

Does that column have a weighted average calculation associated with it?  If so, that's the likely cause of the error.  This is a known defect and is currently being worked by our development staff.  The only workaround is to remove the calculation.  If the column does not have a weighted average calculation, I'd suggest submitting an incident to Customer Care.

Not sure if this is still an issue 10 years later but you never know

Hi Sebastiaan... as always the superstar... weirdly enough, 10 years do not seem to be a long time when it comes to fixing these kind of issues :) As usual, the smaller the issue, the more time it takes to resolve.

I have removed the weighted averages and it worked a treat. Strange is that not all reports with weighted averages are causing this... seems to be connected with specific tables.
