    Title:
What is the recommended Mesaure to copy from Supply Plan to S&OP Plan ?
    Summary:
    S&OP Inputs
    Content:

    Hi,

We wanted to understand the options to supply planning.

Option1:- Demand Plan  -Approve the Shipment Forecast and Copy the Approved Final Shipment Forecast to S&OP Plan.

Use S&OP functionality to calculate the Supply Plan

Option2- Demand Plan--Approve the Shipment Forecast and Copy the Approved Final Shipment Forecast to Planning Central. We can see the Supply and the PAB being calculated by the Supply Plan. However what is the measure to copy from Planning Central to  S&OP for financial review? We cannot find the 'Consensus Forecast' in  or Constraint Forecast in Planning Central ?

What is the recommended module to perform Supply Planning ? S&OP module or Planning Central ?

    Thanks for your inputs

    Thanks

Please refer to https://cloudcustomerconnect.oracle.com/posts/7f2ae1de1e?commentId=263388#263388 . The response included the following:  "The question is whether your customer needs to plan tactically. If so then a Planning Central plan (or Supply Planning) is the way to proceed and plan output is at a detailed, order level."

Option 1:  If both DM and S&OP are deployed then you can use Load Measures from Other Plans to copy Final Shipments Forecast, Approved Final Shipments Forecast, or user-defined measure from a DM plan for the purposes of aggregate supply planning in a S&OP plan. If your process incorporates the Final Shipments Forecast into the Consensus Forecast then this latter measure can be used as a demand schedule.

Option 2:  Referring to the prior response (see link above), measures such as Constrained Forecast and Production Plan can be loaded from PC/SP at an aggregate level using Load Measures from Other Plans. Even though PC plans are unconstrained, you should see data available for Constrained Forecast.  As with Option 1, you can copy the DM forecast to an S&OP plan.

Note:  There is a 19B feature named Plan Supply Using any Demand Measure (update 19B) that allows you to use more than just Final Shipments Forecast or Approved Final Shipments Forecast for supply planning.
