What role can be assigned to a user for OTBI access for report writing?

I can see "Bi Consumer Role" and "BI Platform Author Role" but don't know which one to choose?

BI Author Role : Create, Edit and Run OTBI

BU Consumer for Running but not create/edit any.

Hi Beth- You need to provide BI Platform Author Role

1.BI Consumer: The base-level role that grants the user access to existing analyses, dashboards and agents, allows them to run or schedule existing BI Publisher reports, but not create any new ones. The Consumer can only view and run existing dashboards, analysis and reports provided to them. These objects will be published in a shared area with proper security rights. Consumers typically are the broadest user base across the institution.

2.BI Author: A role that is also recursively granted the Bi Consumer role that also allows users to create new analyses, dashboards and other BI objects. The Author can create and edit dashboards, analyses and reports. Authors will include a narrower user base than Consumers.

Apart for the above one should have their respective Job role in order access the Subject areas in OTBI
for ex : GL Accountant Role to access Journal Real Time Subject area

      Thanks!

      Thank you Prateek and Karthik,

Now I'm not sure I'm assigning it correctly. . .this is only part of my role with Oracle, so I don't add or change user privileges very often.

One image attached shows the Role I want to assign.

Which do I use, Role Name or Role Code on the User screen?  Because I can't get either one to bring up anything that looks correct.
