Where to set the Banner Message at the top of customer portal
    Content:

Hi, I'd like to update our banner message that is displayed on the top of our customer portal. Does the message text get edited in RightNow ? Or in some file needs to be edited using webdav ?

    Hi Mike.

A smart solution is when you are using a custom message base entry (HTML type). This way you woud only need to use webdav once to place the message base entry there and than use the message base to update your text.

You might already have such a solution so my advice is to look in the message base first to see if you have a custom message base entry for this text. If not, you should create one as you would have used webdave anyways to update the text. Now insead of updating the text you will just insert the custom message base entry here and you will be done :-)

If it's the same text on every page you want you could place it in the remplate. Than you would only need to place it once as it will appear on every page.

        Mike,

You can create a custom message base like Sebastiaan says.

When you've done this, just add this line to your Customer portal page or template: #rn:msg:EXAMPLE_NAME#
Make sure you put the name of your newly created custom message in place of the EXAMPLE_NAME.
