Smart View Error message "The data entered is wrong, so it will revert to the previous value"
    Summary:
The data entered is wrong, so it will revert to the previous value
    Content:

I have created a smart view file that has a lot of columns.  There formula involved that aggregate the values retrieved from essbase as well as grouping of rows to collapse the rows..

I have been getting this error later when I clicked on to expand the rows.  What did I do wrong?

Can you please check there is no Vlookup formula or referring to that Smart view cell validating the data value from any other sheet.

      Thanks,

      Anviksha

      Hi,

Why is Vlookup an issue? I did have Hlookup in the file.  See attached as an example.

I have both the dimension year, month and dept in the columns for row 2 to row 4.

Another dimension Account in row 5 to 9.

I used hlookup to find out certain values.  Is this why?  What if I use SUMIFS?  will this trigger this error too?

      Hi,

If the particular cell value is being validated by another sheet value using HLookup then you may get this error. Please remove all formulae and then see if you get any error.

      Thanks,
