    Title:
    Day Name from Date
    Summary:
Function for DAYNAME in Sales OTBI not working
    Content:

    Hello,

I am using this function: DAYNAME("Service Request"."Creation Date") and it is not returnning the day NAME I would expect. It is returning a number. So for Sunday it returns "1", Monday, "2", and so on so forth. I don't want to display the day number of the day of week. I want to display the Name. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, etc. Does anybody know how to do that? I'm using the "Service - CRM Service Request Resource Real Time" SA.  On the General OBIEE forum somebody using Taleo Recruiting OTBI said it works as expected in their environment. Is this a Sales Cloud OTBI bug?

    Thanks,

    Stephanie

    Hello Stephanie,

Once you have the CASE statement, you may want to save the column expression in the catalog using the "Save column as" option from criteria tab and reuse it in other reports from the same subject area.

      Hello Stephanie,

Can you please reach out to the support team to raise an item for the concerned team to investigate?

Meanwhile, as a workaround you can use the CASE statement to convert those numbers into corresponding days.
      Hope this helps.

      Thanks,
      Hitesh
