    Title:
Can we use a SQL in OTBI Analysis
    Summary:
    Using SQL in OTBI Analysis
    Content:

    Hi,

We are trying to fetch the Department Level 1 from the Department -> Hierarchy folder under SA Workforce Management - Worker Assignment Real Time. We already have columns like Position Code, Position Name,Department Name,Emp Number,Emp Name,Manager Number,Manager Name in the analysis. The Moment we drag the Department level 1 field no results are returned, wondering if there is any way we can fetch this?

    Thanks

    Ashish

Just to clarify Julian's earlier comment. The sql that you write in the advanced tab in answers is an OBIEE logical sql and not a db sql.

SQL within OTBI/OBIEE Answers can be used in Fusion OnPremise but it is not supported for Cloud.

You would need to use BI Publisher as an alternative

As per the Customer Connect Event 'R10 HCM OTBI Enhancements" it seems SQL is allowed in Saas Model too. Can anyone from Product team confirm?

You can write SQL in the cloud by going to the Advanced tab in Answers.  You will see a section called "SQL Issued".  You can click on "New Analysis" and then write your own SQL.
