    Update 18C Shopping Cart UI Fix: Shopping Cart appears to Open and Close immediately

    Problem

    When a user clicks the Shopping Cart icon in the Shopping Cart region of the home page, it appeared to open and close in a fleeting moment. Consequently, the shopping cart could not be viewed with all its details.

    Resolution

    In Update 18C, this issue was resolved to make the shopping cart view clickable and the view will now persist so the user can see the details. 

    I mention this because at the time, there were quite a few concerned customers who were concerned that the shopping cart had become unusable. The actuality was that there was a mouse over action also enabled along with the click so when users first moused over it would briefly show the cart and then when users clicked the cart would disappear to give the impression that the cart could not viewed open. With this fix, there are no issues because the user clicks the icon to view the cart details.

      Hello,

      We are facing issue in the shopping cart where if the user does mouse-over action, the Decimal place is cut-off on the total amount. I have attached the screenshot.

      Which release are you on Parul? I ask because this not a popup anymore, You have to click the shopping cart icon to view the Shopping Cart popup. You can then hover in the column that displays amount and that will show you the full amount. See the screenshot below.

      Hi Ashok,

      We are on 19B. Yes, we can click on shopping cart to view the pop up and in pop up, we have to click on amount to see the full amount. The client wants to display the full amount in the column itself and does not want to click on the values to see the full amount. Can this be fixed?

      Currency formats can be different, decimal rounding can be different. The field being a user editable field, we don't currently display this dynamically based on the various possibilities. I am not certain if this is something we plan on revisiting anytime soon. But I will discuss this internally to see if there is anything I can get back to you with.

      Before you log the idea, one thing to try out and we are doing this internally as well.

      Have you checked if you can adjust the width of the field to increase it via page composer? We are exploring it internally but thought I would check with you.
