    Title:
How to join two tables in vbcs?
    Content:

How to create realationship in BO between two Tables.

    For example:

    I have two tables.
     Employee Table.  Primary Key: Request_Num
Course Reference Table. Foreign Key: Request_Num

Common column in both tables: Request_Num

I want to create relationship between two tables based on Request_Num.

    Version:
    19.1.3

On the Overview tab for the BO use the + sign next to Relationships to create the relationships.

      Hi Team,

Without relationship how to join two table with common column and show that table data in page.

      Thanks,

      Karthick

The BOs in VB don't give you direct SQL access to write random queries that do join between tables.

So I think the only solution would be to fetch the data from one object based on a condition, and then in JS add this to the array of data from the other object.

By the way, if you are interested in using complex SQL operations - you should consider using a regular Oracle DB and expose the tables / SQL queries through REST (using ORDS or ADF BC for example).

          Hi Shay,

Which is the best option if i am interested in complex SQL operation. ADF BC , ORDS or through ICS REST services?

Depends on your set of skills - all of them can achieve this.

Personally I like ADF BC since it gives you a lot of functionality out of the box and VB understand the REST structure very well through the describe option:
