Passing a Dashboard Variable to all BI reports on dashboard
    Content:

    Hi All,

I am preparing a dashboard to show multiple charts / reports embedded. I would like to create a dashboard that takes parameter and passes it to all underlying reports. Appreciate any pointers on How To documents for this.

    Thanks, Bala.

If you are wanting to use different columns but filter on the same value then use dashboard prompts and load the value into a presentation variable and use this in your report filters Richard Neodata Australia

      Hi Bala,

Here is a video from Oracle that might help you.

        Hi Arun,

Thanks for your response. I see that video was using all OTBI reports and creating a variable. I am using BI publisher report (PL/SQL) code as I have other challenges with dates. Also, my reports on dashboard belong to all different tables from different modules. Is there a way I can create a dashboard prompt variables adhoc and pass it to BI reports. I looked at note "BI Publisher Report Parameter Not Appearing On Dashboard (Doc ID 2102134.1)" but unable to get to variable prompt while creating dashboard.

        Regards, Bala.
