    Title:
What will happend when Consigned inventory that has reached its aging period but inventory manager doesn't transferred to owned
    Summary:
Consigned inventory and transferred to owned
    Content:

Based on Oracle Docs, when the aging period expires, the buyer takes ownership of the consigned inventory. The inventory manager performs a manual Transfer to Owned transaction (ownership change) that transfers the material from supplier owned to buyer owned. So what will happend when Consigned inventory that has reached its aging period but inventory manager doesn't transferred to owned inventory? The application restrict user from consuming inventory or not?

Because on Oracle support, they do not have an automated process to transfer material to owned upon aging expiration. An enhancement request exists to request this functionality.

When consigned inventory has reached the aging period, it will remain in a consigned state. A Transfer to Owned transaction is not automatically created to change the material to an owned state. Additionally, users can continue to transact consigned inventory once it has reached the aging period.

We do provide several tools to monitor consigned inventory aging. There is Watchlist provided displaying the consigned inventory that has expired. The Watchlist provides a link allowing you navigate to the Manage Consigned Inventory Aging page. You can access the Watchlist from the main navigation page by clicking the "Flag" icon. Optionally, you can navigate to the Manage Consigned Inventory page directly and set the search parameter "Aging Expiration" to Expired.
