    Title:
Honor TAB rules for Charge Account Segments updated by users
    Summary:
Honor TAB rules for Charge Account Segments updated by users
    Content:

    Gurus,

I have a requirement where the users will need update the Charge Account on Requisition line (Note currently there is an ER to make the Charge Account non-editable). Since I cannot make it non-editable, is there a way, through conditions in Account Rules in TAB, that I can let the users update the Charge Account but the TAB rules overwrite the Charge Account again essentially making them honor TAB rules

    Any inputs are highly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Manoj

How are the two requirements related - Need to update the charge account and need to make it non-editable. Can you clarify?

You should peruse this portal. It contains a lot of useful article including one on how to make a charge account non-editable:

But to your other question, the priority is set up in TAB and if there are derived TAB rules that precede user provided, then the derived rules always win.

      Hi Manoj,

From the requirement: You want to stop the manual override of Charge Account. Please correct me, if I am wrong.

To stop manual override, please goto the all segment Account Rules  and check is below type condition there :

      "Requisition Charge Account"."All" is null

Sometime, instead "All" the segment also used.

If you find this condition , please remove it from all segment Account Rules.

      Validate > Save.

Activate the  TAD and check the manual override is still allowing.

      Thanks!

      Saubik
