Hi,
Wondering if we can restrict power user access to Run Calculation by rule set. Just like planning where we assign rule access through Business Rule Security.
We have a client requirement to restrict rule sets modification and execution based on regions. Each region's power user will be responsible for their own transfer pricing transactions. I don't see this functionality available at the moment as rule creation, modification and calculation is available to all power users and service administrator of PCMCS.
Only workaround I could think of is separate PCMCS-Pods for each region, but that will be expensive and adding burden for admins to manage multiple applications.
Appreciate any suggestions to address this requirement.
Thanks
Aamir

Hey there Aamir,
Unfortunately there is no option for security at ruleset or rule level today in PCM.The one option you have is to find a smart way of dealing with this via separated POVs. It will not guarantee the admin and power users won’t go in other POV’s and start editing around, but at least you reduce the risk of that happening if they have to intentionally select the POV.
I hope this helps. If I have any other ideas i’ll share them here.
Kind regards,
Alecs

Hi Alecs,
Thanks for your reply.
If I understand correctly, you mean to use POV dimensions e.g. scenario or version to have region members e.g. Actual-USA, Actual-Canada.
I'll also raise this on Idea lab to consider rule security as an enhancement in future release.
Regards,
Aamir
