    Title:
    Rightnow Architecture Design Diagram
    Content:

    Hi Team,

For our internal training purpose I have created a high level architectural diagram of Rigtnow. Since it is a high level I didn't add much components. I would like to get everyone feedback and modification suggestions to improve it.  Kindly do corrections if there is anything. So that it would be helpful for us and others to utilize it for the demo or training purposes.

great diagram Kiran, this is incredibly useful.  Having this and a BUI version of this would be a great selling/explanatory tool for some of our clients :)

      Saved!

      Colin.

Just Noticed you have CURD, isn't it CRUD? :)

    • Kiran Rajendran

      Hi Colin,

Thank you for your post. You are right, it should be CRUD. Now only I have noticed it :) . I will be creating another diagram with Interface and BUI details. In which I can do the correction.

Well done. This is something very useful for many purposes. From internal consultant training to customer IT team training.

This architecture can be very useful in providing robust system with lesser complex structure. Business can easily get information

A small change typically it’s called CRUD not CURD. You go down to the database level in some areas but not others for example what is under the Application and the Portal. There is a document out there that I have seen that has that level of detail if you want to take this further. Overall nice effort.

      Hi,

Please let me know the feasibility of proposed scenario,
Rightnow to be implemented in Hybrid Architecture, such that vital contact information shall be stored on, on-premise server and rest of application to be hosted on cloud.
For every incident, the contact information will be fetched from the on-premise server.
Do we have any standard plug-in to achieve this?

      Thanks in advance!

Thanks Kiran for sharing this document.

      Hi Pooja,

For the hybrid implementation there is no OOTB plugins available. What you can do , you can create/use a Restful API or SOAP API from the on-premise and Service Cloud for the transactions. To communicate between APIs you can go for Oracle Integration Cloud/ SOA middle ware / direct API calls from both end.

I would prefer you to create a separate post for this in community to get better visibility. There you will get more answers and you can go for the best one.
