    Title:
    Message Base Customer Full Name
    Content:

    Hi,

In my environment, customer full name is shown as surname and name. But i want to show as name and surname. For example, it seems Lennon John, but i want to show as John Lennon. I searched on message base also but i didnt get how i can do. Do you have any idea, how can i do?

    Thanks

    Hello,

Looks like you are working on a non-english interface. The behavior you see is due to 'intl_nameorder' config verb, that defines the name order based on the interface's language. Refer this post for more information. You cannot change the config verb value yourself but you can certainly customize the code to ignore this configuration.

      Hi Anuj,

Thank you for your response. I found this key on message bases. Its writing:

Specifies the display order for names. If disabled, the first name is displayed first, followed by the last name. If enabled, the last name is displayed first, followed by the first name. Default is disabled (No) for all locales except CJK, Arabic, and Turkish, where it is enabled (Yes).

Is there any way to make it disable? Because all name fields, i want to see  like that. Not just chat page or customer portal, whole application. Or as you said i can not change it really? The post which you refer, they suggest to contact with Support.

      Thank You

Yes, you will have to contact Oracle if you would like to change the value of this config.

The key you found in messagebase is just for the description of the intl_nameorder config item.

Message bases are text strings that you can customize the customize to alter the text appearing on your application. The config settings to enable/disable features or to configure the application are found in Config bases (or Configuration settings). So, changing any message base won't alter the functionality of the application, just the corresponding text that appears.
