    Hi All

I'm trying to Embed Report - Grid into Report Package using Reference Doclet. The Report Grid has been embed into Report Package, but the report's width is not fit to the page.

Following are the steps i have performed:

    1. Create Report in Report Package
    2. Report properties used:
      • Page Size: A4
      • Orientation: Potrait
      • Fit to Page: Both
    3. Add Reference Doclet (Created Report) into the existed Report Package
    4. Perform Check-out, added Report Grid and Perform Check-in
    5. Open existed Report Package's Doclet in Smartview (Check-Out in MS Word)
    6. Embed Report Grid from Reference Doclet

Did anyone faced this issue so far? Solution to the issue highly appreciated.

    Thank You

      Hi Ganesh

did you get a chance to review the tips and tricks for sizing of the embedded content?

      https://cloudcustomerconnect.oracle.com/posts/3017d03280

      hope that helps.

Yes I already went through this doc. Thank You for the information.

Oracle registered this issue as a bug and development team is working on it.

Hey, Oracle provided the solution for this issue.

Once we add the Report into Reference Doclet, a separate version of the report will get created under Report Package, which is hidden and it is no-where link to the original report, so the formatting changes applied to original report will not reflect to embed report.

      Solution:

Edit the report directly from the Doclet (Report Package->Reference Doclet->Act on Content->Edit Report)

in our 18.11 update, you can now keep the Management Report reference doclet “linked” to the report definition in the library.  You specify it on the doclet properties definition when defining it in the report package.  Refer here for more info (scroll to November Update)

      https://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/tutorial/cloud/eprcs/2018-eprcs-wn.htm#F5749

Coming in 18.12, is the ability to create a shared library folder to contain these shared management reports to enabl easier roll forward   You can find that in the December section of the above link.
