    Title:
    Mobility Plugin Examples
    Content:

    Hi,

I'm looking to see if anyone is able to share some examples of Mobility Plugins they've either written, or use on a daily basis. I'm not looking for code examples, more just a use case of why you wrote the plugin and what gaps it fills. Ideally, where you're using the OFS Mobile iOS application

I'm looking at calling the OFS Barcode scanner so if anyone has anything they can share on this, it would be really useful.

    Thanks

      Hi,

Even some basic plugin examples would be useful.

      Thanks

      Hi Richard,

I have written several plugins where we have complex inspection forms. In my case, I needed to show about 180 to 200 custom properties in a specific UI format which is not possible in mobile forms. So I had built a plugin which replicates the as-is form and had updated the values of those properties. Also, since it helped in pre-filling certain values based on earlier inputs. There are several needs for a plugins apart from this which can help in ensuring the change management is simpler.

      Thanks

      Hi Richard,

In one of our projects we have created a plugin to call a custom page which displays the real time inventory items. Instead of displaying the inventory items in multiple fields in the mobility application we intended to develop a page in customer portal which has list of items present and the technician inventory. One of the field in the page pulls the inventory item and pushes to the technician inventory thereby decreasing an item in the inventory cloud and increasing an item in the technician inventory.

      Thanks,

      Madhu

Thanks everyone. Really helpful knowing what's possible. I'll update this thread with what we're planning to do and any challenges encountered along the way.
