    Title:
How to use OOTB and custom inventory fields in message scenarios?
    Content:

    Hi,

How can we use OOTB inventory properties like required_quantity and required_available_quantity, and other custom inventory properties in message scenarios?

Tried appending pr_, ex_, expr_ for custom fields, but nothing working.

    Thanks,

    Megha

      Hi Megha,

The place holders for inventory are given here: https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18a/famsc/message-content.html#r_inventoryPlaceholders

Also I would suggest to use the Block types when dealing with installed inventory or required inventory.

      https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/saas/field-service/18a/famsc/message-content.html#c_blockTypes

You have to place your OOTB fields and custom fields inside this <BLOCK type ="installed_inventory"> </BLOCK>

For custom fields you have to still use "pr_" .

      Regards,

      Hardik

It looks like you would like to work with "required inventory", that is different entity then "inventory".

If that so, you should use "required_inventory" BLOCK and following placeholders inside the block to access the fields:

      required_inventory_type_id  inventory type ID
required_inventory_type_name  inventory type name translated into message language
      required_inventory_type_label  inventory type label
      required_inventory_model  inventory model
      required_inventory_quantity  required quantity

You would not be able to use custom properties because required inventories does not have one.
